Noel Waechter - Partner, Geologist

Noel Waechter started in coalbed methane exploration with Amoco in the early 1980's. He began consulting as a geologist in 1983, working in waterflood development and wellsite geology. In 1986, Mr. Waechter published some papers that examined the early development of structure and stratigraphy in northwest Colorado. This led to his involvement in source-rock geochemistry studies of northwest Colorado and the Paradox Basin that were offered to industry by DGSI, Inc. In 1989 Waechter began consulting in coalbed methane desorption, as the San Juan Basin moved into an intensive coalbed methane development phase - first with Raven Ridge Resources and later with Hampton and Associates. In 1999 Mr. Waechter took over the desorption business of Hampton & Associates. In 2005 Entrada GeoSciences was formed to succeed Hampton, Waechter & Associates.
